Hey there, my name is Laura, I am a transplant who fell in love with everything about Kyoto. I love how you can be transported from the bustling of the city to the peace and serenity of a temple. I also love the mix of modern advances and traditional practices. My favorite pastime includes searching for hidden gems at clothing markets and if the weather allows chilling on the Kamo River with family and friends. I know my way around Downtown Kyoto( Nakagyo) and Higashiyama very well. If you are looking for some great shopping, karaoke, and cafe spots then downtown Kyoto is the place to be. If you want to explore the tourist hot spots and enjoy some hidden treasures along the way then I am the person for you.

We had a fabulous 7-hour tour around Kyoto with Laura. She had a pre-planned itinerary for us, but was totally flexible and accommodating to any changes we wanted to make and places we wanted to see while out. We enjoyed seeing multiple sites around Kyoto that we never would have made it to on our own.
