Excellent tour company, has the awesome idea of pairing you or your private group with a local expert to explore any aspect of your destination at any level desired. I wanted to explore foods in Tokyo and learn about the Japanese culture, but was way beyond an intro to ramen or udon or tempura and dislike sweet foods. I wanted to talk about dining customs and explore deeper into the culinary specialties of Tokyo and Japan. Megumi, my “tour guide” seemed like an old friend whom I was cathing up with, but who was able to recommend restaurants and dishes to try. She was extremely flexible, patient, knowledgeable, communicative and helpful, a great Tokyo ambassador. She never gave the feeling of “look how much I know” or had rehearsed lines that she had repeated hindreds of times. She really took the time to understand what I wanted from the experience and then delivered it expertly. 10/10, would repeat with this company without hesitation. Do yourself a favor and do away with following someone holding an umbrella, dragging you through stops that aren’t right for you. Tailor your experience to exactly what you are looking for, time is our most valuable asset, especially when travelling!

Megumi was a delight and so informative about food and culture in Tokyo. She took us to several local dining spots and we sampled as many foods as we could drink as well as Matcha and sake. She spoke perfect English for anyone concerned about translation. Megumi also helped us get reservations in restaurants and helped with recommendations for later in our trip.

I had a wonderful eating exploration with Megumi today! Meg really took the time to understand what I was looking for and I was able to try some real culinary specialties that I’m sure aren’t on the average food tour. We bypassed the typical food tour things that don’t interest me and accentuated those that do. She was able to give a thoughtful, clear answer to all of my questions. I honestly felt like I wasn’t on a tour, but had just met up with a friend who wanted to show me around in her city. She has fantastic communication skills and due to her knowledge of languages and immense vocabulary, there were no problems understanding each other. She is a very sincere person and has all of the qualities you’d look for in a Tokyo ambassador! Honest, easygoing, courteous, sincere, knowledgable, humble, adventuresome and enthusiastic! 10/10, would be overjoyed to do another tour with her.
