Jill did such a nice job on this 6 hour tour. We wanted to orient ourselves to Edinburgh before deciding how to spend our next two days. Jill connected with us in advance, understood what we were interested in, picked a lunch place, and gave us recommendations for what to see after the tour. Jill covered a lot of ground during the tour, brought us to peaceful spots off the beaten path, and gave us historical insights for everything we saw. This was exactly what we hoped for, and we now have plan for the rest of our time in Edinburgh, based on what we learned from Jill. We would definitely recommend this tour.

We had the best time! We came in on a cruise ship and met Doug at the Queensferry pier. From there we took a cab to Edinburgh by the Royal Botanical Garden, which is lovely. From there we toured new town, old town, Tons of castles, toured the royal mile, had a beer or two in the pubs. Doug was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history. The tour was customized to what we wanted and he was very accommodating. Excellent time!

Andre was wonderful! We learned so much in this private walking tour. He made sure we were near the castle at 1 since my daughter wanted to hear and see the cannon. He showed us the clock that has all the different things in it. He made 6 hours go by quickly.

With Richard we had a great experience with in Edinburgh. What stood out immediately was how well-structured and efficient the tour was no wasted time, but never felt rushed. Richards combined strong historical knowledge with engaging storytelling, which made the city feel alive rather than just a series of landmarks. He was also very good at reading us a family so adjusting pace, answering questions thoughtfully, and adding small details you wouldn’t get from a typical scripted tour. Overall, this was a high-quality experience and easily one of the better city tours I’ve done. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh who wants more than just surface-level information.
