I am Professor
Hello, I'm Laurence, your local host in Brussels. What captivates me most about Brussels is the fusion of flavors and the unique atmosphere. From the charming little pubs to the exquisite restaurants, I revel in the diversity of culinary experiences that define this city. As an explorer of both the outdoors and art, I take delight in exploring the vibrant streets and indoor galleries across the Center, museum quarter, and Ixelles. And hidden gems? I thrive on showcasing the lesser-known treasures that make Brussels a true artistic haven. With a background in art and architecture, I have become a guru in navigating the city's museums and historical landmarks. Join me on a journey through the heart of Brussels. Let's make your stay in Brussels an unforgettable blend of history, art, and the delightful flavors that define this remarkable city.
I had a great time with Laurence as my tour guide. She was kind and attentive. I didn’t feel rush during the tour and was considerate and patient when trying to look for a restaurant to my liking.

Laurence was an excellent city guide! She was proactive before my husband and I arrived to inquire about our interest. When I mentioned how close our hotel was to the meeting spot, she offered to pick us up there! One of the points of interest, which we’d admired was a church, just across the street, so it was fantastic to go inside and learn its history. Laurence’s background in Art History added a rich facet to what we saw as we walked. She integrated the information in a very interesting and meaningful way! (She must be a fantastic professor!) We learned about the past and present. Her family is from there, so she was able to share a touching story from both her Grandmother and her Mother’s experiences living in the Brussels area. Laurence introduced us to her city, in the most authentic way anyone could. She made us feel as if we were long-time friends, whom had just met. We are just a little older than she, as are our children, and didn’t seem to mind our questions. Laurence was gracious and thoughtful as we inquired about every day life in Brussels, employment opportunities, the educational opportunities of her young adult children, etc. She showed us the jewels of her city, shared its traditions, took us through the glittery shopping areas, pointing many dining areas as we walked past, slipping with us into a tiny alley to see one of the oldest Pubs, pointing out famous bakeries and confection shops, all while sharing the city’s its history. She pointed out the popular, and when coaxed, would share “her favorites”. So, from antiquity to the events of today, we were charmed with Brussels, and grateful to have found such a kind, knowledgeable, fun guide! All while walking in the rain
